The 87th Annual Academy Awards Nominations List

The nominations are in! Dan hasilnya… film arahan Alejandro González Iñárritu, ‘Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)’ dan film arahan Wes Anderson, ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’, sama-sama memimpin daftar nominasi The 87th Annual Academy Awards dengan meraih sembilan nominasi. Keduanya akan bersaing dalam memperebutkan gelar Best Picture bersama dengan American Sniper, Boyhood, The Imitation Game, Selma, The Theory of Everything dan Whiplash. Raihan sembilan nominasi yang diraih Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) dan The Grand Budapest Hotel diikuti oleh The Imitation Game yang meraih delapan nominasi serta American Sniper dan Boyhood yang masing-masing meraih enam nominasi.

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences juga memberikan beberapa kejutan dalam daftar nominasinya dengan tidak menominasikan beberapa nama maupun judul yang selama ini telah menjadi favorit beberapa ajang penghargaan seperti Gone Girl yang hanya meraih nominasi Best Actress in a Leading Role untuk Rosamund Pike, Selma yang meraih nominasi Best Picture namun ditinggalkan di kategori lain kecuali Best Original Song, Jake Gyllenhaal yang gagal meraih nominasi untuk penampilannya yang begitu kuat dalam Nightcrawler serta The LEGO Movie yang gagal meraih nominasi Best Animated Feature. Meskipun begitu, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences juga memberikan kejutan manis dengan memberikan nominasi pada Marion Cotillard (Best Actress in a Leading Role, Two Days, One Night), Laure Dern (Best Actress in a Supporting Role, Wild), Bennett Miller (Best Director, Foxcatcher) serta Bradley Cooper yang sepertinya kini telah menjadi aktor favorit Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences dengan kembali memberikannya nominasi di kategori Best Actor in a Leading Role untuk film American Sniper.
