The nominations are in! Dan hasilnya… American Hustle dan Gravity sama-sama memimpin daftar nominasi The 86th Annual Academy Awards dengan raihan sebanyak 10 nominasi. Jumlah tersebut diikuti oleh 12 Years a Slave yang berhasil meraih 9 nominasi. Ketiganya sama-sama akan bersaing untuk memperebutkan gelar Best Picture dengan enam film lainnya: Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Her, Nebraska, Philomena dan The Wolf of Wall Street. David O. Russell – yang dinominasikan pada kategori Best Director untuk American Hustle – sekali lagi mengulang kesuksesannya pada tahun lalu lewat Silver Linings Playbook dengan keberhasilannya dalam menempatkan keempat pemeran filmnya untuk meraih nominasi di bidang akting: Christian Bale di kategori Best Actor in Leading Role, Amy Adams di kategori Best Actress in a Leading Role, Bradley Cooper di kategori Best Actor in a Supporting Role dan Jennifer Lawrence di kategori Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
